The primary objective of this site is to serve CRFA's membership and improve communications. CRFA seeks to provide a community and volunteer-driven program to promote the growth and development of our softball players. CRFA works to promote a fun, fair, and safe environment that maximizes participation and improves players' softball skills while developing sportsmanship, teamwork, and self-confidence.

There are so many questions that new fastpitch members ask. Please click the Fastpitch Q & A link on the left side of this page. There are answers to many questions such as what equipment do I need? When are games? How long is the season? etc.
2021 EVALUATIONS - COACHES NEEDED - BOARD MEMBERS NEEDED
On behalf of the CRFA board of directors I’d like to officially welcome new members to CRFA and say hello to all current members. We are planning for a fun and successful 2021 summer season.
There are so many questions that new fastpitch members ask, too many to answer in this letter. Please visit our website at www.coonrapidsfastpitch.com and click the Fastpitch Q & A link on the left side of the home page. There are answers to many questions such as what equipment do I need? Unfortunately due to availability of the CRHS field house we had to postpone our evaluations this year. We are planning on evaluations on the 11th of Apr at the Coon Rapids HS fields behind the football field. 8’s will evaluate at 1pm, 10’s at 2 pm and 12s at 3 pm. The 18th of Apr will be a backup date in case of a weather related cancellation. There will be no evaluations needed at 14U this year as we have just enough for one team.
Registrations are still open! We have room for a couple of players at each level so act now. We prefer to limit the number of players on any team to 12, so once we hit that number we may need to close registration for that level, however we will make every effort to try to place anyone who wants to play on a team. The sooner we know the better we will be able to accommodate. Remember that there is a $25 discount off YOUR registration fee for every new player that you recruit! Please have your daughters call all their friends and acquaintances and have them sign up. They are the best recruiters! The more players we have the more successful, competitive and fun our program will be. Please let all new players know that there is a $100 discount for a new first year CRFA player this year. To register please visit our registration page on www.coonrapidsfastpitch.com
Parents, if you are interested in being a coach please contact any board member. We will be conducting informal coaching interviews in the next several weeks.
The terms of several CRFA Board members, whose daughters have aged out of the program, expire this August. The program will need new board members this fall. If you are interested in serving on the board of directors please contact Jake Cimenski. Now is your chance to have a voice in the future success of our program.
We are also planning a uniform try-on date. Please stay tuned for future emails with details on when and where.
This past year has been challenging, we had a couple of teams participate on a limited basis last year without Covid incidents. I believe that fastpitch is a safe activity for our daughters. I know that I am excited to get back outside and get back to normal life. See you at the ballpark!
Please feel free to forward this email to anyone who may be interested in registering and playing.
